Late one day, while strolling along a beach draped in the soft light of a setting sun, I saw a most beautiful wave – she appeared so serene, so gentle .
I fell in love with that wave.
For 11 years we flowed, together, experiencing, supporting, growing and bringing each other to deeper fullness, through all the ups and downs of the oceans tides and flows.
But, like all waves, they have their beginning, their middle, and their endings, and that beautiful wave sank into the sands of time on the 25th April 2017.
So peacefully and calm she dissolved. So radiant and beautiful her eyes closed for the last time.
Her essence withdrew back from my grasp, back into the eternal Ocean from whence it arose. It left me standing on the shore, seemingly separate and devastatingly alone once more.
As I stood there, grieving the loss of my beautiful wave, feeling all the unbearable human pain of grief, abandonment, and aloneness, I saw through the blur of my tears, the Ocean, and there, dancing in the ever present waters, I saw Divine Love, laughing with creative joy, waiting to take birth in new forms, new waves, which would once again dance from source to shore through the sands of time, in joyous creative abandon of life’s new expression.
And in that moment I saw I was the Ocean, and that the Waves and Ocean are indeed One, joyfully experiencing the sacred dance we call Life.

INSIGHTS
We are all waves of Creation; ripples on the surface of Being. Our personalities, our egoic identities, are not real in the absolute sense – merely brief expressions in the ever-shifting sands of time, Life playing with and through form for brief moments in time.
For a short while Liz and I experienced ourselves through the depth of relationship, in this ever-flowing play of form; each moving and changing, moment by moment, growing, discovering, shifting, and eventuality, like all forms, dissolving back to Source.
What we experience is not that important; how we experience life, is. The only real meaning to this play of ever-changing form is our experience while in it, and the only eternal result of this so very brief expression in form, is love, and the experience of love.
The way we shall judge our lives ultimately is not by what occurred, but by how deep we loved, and much we served with love whilst on this brief journey through life.
