“Don’t underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.” — Pooh’s Little Instruction Book
Most people, myself included at times, generally fill our lives with too much ‘doing’.
Spending time in sacred idleness pays rich dividends I find.
We know that peace is not to be found on the roads, beaches or shopping malls at Christmas, but within us.
So, this festive season, take some quality time to just BE.
Let the world be as it is; find the stillness within each and every moment, for the destination we seek is inherent in the journey and the step we are taking now. If peace is what you really want then let go of the mind’s need for more and it’s need to judge; let go of expectations of future outcomes; accept what is as if you had chosen it; allow others to just be as they are, allow yourself to be as you are and allow the world to be as it is. In this focus on allowing and accepting we will find the peace and love you seek this Christmas.
Feeding our souls with Sacred Stillness is the medicine our souls require right now.
Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful festive season, where Presence is made more important than presents.
