Hi Folks, There is an emptiness deep inside most people, whether acknowledged or unacknowledged. And the seeking to fill this void is a life-long quest for most humans. This void is seemingly sometimes filled through an event or circumstance, but this situation, person or event, with time, inevitably soon passes by. The mind is a seeking tool. The mind is always hoping to find peace and/or love in time; past and future. It seeks fulfilment through work, relationships, achievements, understanding, novel experiences, intellectual pursuits, hobbies, sport, religion, food and/or drink, to name just a few areas. Unfortunately one will never find what you are really looking for in any of those areas, for permanence is not there to be found. All of these arenas are on the horizontal plain of existence and require time, past and future, and transitory and brief in nature. Perpetual seeking is therefore the result. What we really seek is not in Time. Love, peace and fulfilment are to be found in the depth of Life itself. Fulfilment is not to be found in the mind’s projection and story about reality. Love and peace are to be found in reality itself… Ask yourself what is real right now. Not what your mind has to say about a situation or event, but what is experiential right now, just this moment? Take a deep breath in, and become quiet and still for a moment. Listen and hear the quietness within you right now…feel the energy and aliveness of life as it is in just this moment. Wait and see what arises within you as you listen with open, attentive awareness, without judgement or preference. Honour the stillness in just this moment.
